In September this year in Steam, the widely-rated action dove game MegaBonk was launched, and the developer vedinad recently announced his withdrawal from the Best Debut Indie nomination on the grounds that he did not consider himself eligible for nomination, a request that had been approved by the host.

MegaBonk is an independent game developer, Vedinad, the Roguelike game, which is called “Risk in the Rain” and “Vampala Survivors” and is highly toxic in Steam, where it gets a very good reputation and sells over a million sets in two weeks.

However, Vedinad, through X, has published a nomination to withdraw from the Best Show Independence Award, on the grounds that he has stated that he has launched other games in the name of different studios, and that MegaBonk is not his “first game” and is willing to give a better one.

Although Vedinad has only one game under the Steam account, according to external media reports, Vedinad’s identity has been subject to outside speculation that he was the YouTube live owner, Dani (also known as Danidev), who had launched a simulating squid game, Crab Game.

Following Vedinad’s petition, the TGA organizer, Geoff Keighley, publicly responded to thank him for his frankness and removed MegaBonk from his nomination for the Best Show Independence Award.

The prizes for the “Best Show Independence Game” will now be won by four games: Blue Prince, Light and Shadow: 33 Expedition 33, Despelote and Dispay.

This year’s TGA Awards will be announced on December 11th, U.S. local time.
